Have you ever felt discouraged and needed to be uplifted?
Whenever I need a shift in life, I’m drawn to God. I know that with God there is peace, comfort and answers to the questions of my life I’m feeling confused in. It’s important to know who you are in Christ and how much God loves you. Meditating on the word and being encouraged by what God has said gives you motivation and confidence in your daily life.
These scriptures will encourage you to set your mind on things above and set the tone for the day each time you read them.
10 godly affirmations for you to be encouraged
1. I am God's workmanship
Ephesians 2:10
For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.
You are here to do good things, God wants you to do good things. You are capable because He has prepared a way. Never doubt your gifts and talents and all you have planned.
2. I am victorious
1 John 5:4
“For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith.”
You must know that He has won the victory. This means that we can believe in God to win any battle that comes about. When we give our life and come to Christ we are reborn and that means through believing in the works and power of God we have victory. It has already been won.
3. I am protected by God's peace
Philippians 4:7
“and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
As we move forward we grow in peace because we rest in Jesus, it's not for us to understand but to remain in Him who protects us.
4. I am chosen and loved
Colossians 3:12
“Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering;”
As we are chosen, we must live a life that pleases God. Imitate God’s compassionate attitude just as He is towards us. Love yourself also by meditating on God’s word about oy, He has many promises that will be fulfilled in your life.
5. I am set free
John 8:32
”And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
I have the freedom to follow God, Jesus is the perfect truth the perfect standard of what is right. I am set free to be all that God has meant me to be. This is a good scripture to encourage you when you’re feeling unworthy or in an unhealthy place. The truth of how much God can and will do for you is enough to set your mind free. Trust in Him.
6. I am blameless
1 Corinthians 1:8
“who will also confirm you to the end, that you may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
Have you ever thought that what you did in the past was too much to receive another chance?
God doesn’t think like that, as you follow Him and build a relationship your thoughts and actions change.
You are forgiven, and having faith in Christ means you are blameless. You are saved
7. I have been redeemed
Isaiah 44:22
”I have blotted out, like a thick cloud, your transgressions, and like a cloud, your sins. Return to Me, for I have redeemed you.”
God has carefully taken care of your sin, He has forgiven you without shame. Honour Him by making better decisions and letting go of the past.
8. I am Christ’s friend
John 15:15
”No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you.”
You are not alone in anything good or bad. The relationship between you and God is so special and unique to you. Being a friend brings you into great and new things, new ways and a new life.
9. I am a citizen of heaven
Philippians 3:20
”For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ,”
Know that you are special and God has a place for you. Lead your life worthy of heaven’s citizenship, always ask for direction from God and rely on Him to be conformed to His will over your life.

Matthew 5:13,14
“You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavour, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men. “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.
