Hi Beautiful!
Organisation and planning can be a chore sometimes.
What better what to live a clutter free and minimal lifestyle than finally tackling those piles of clothing, that messy drawer or the storage facility you have no access to because it’s just - well a mess.
Here are some useful tips I use to certaininly help keep the home clutter free.

6 Main Organisation Tips for Your Home
Let’s jump right in, the idea is not to move things around but to clear and create new space.
Delegate a time or a day to tackle the areas you would like to clear, there’s nothing worse than jumping head first and having to stop to do it the next day, which usually results in leaving it to another month. So plan ahead of time and stick to it.
Clear your home roughly every month to three months at a time, this way you are right on top of it all and there is no room for a massive “I can’t face it” build-up.
If it is broken, parts missing and have not been used in over three months, then kindly bin, recycle or give away. Let’s get rid of the habit of holding on to bits and pieces in the hope that they will turn up one day. That goes for clothes too.
Everything has a place. A good reminder when sorting out items is to allocate space for them, think about a filing system, labels, colour tags. Pick anything that suits you and will help you remember where your things are and in what order.
Use boxes, jars, vacuum bags or the like to place things aesthetically. Yes, we are trying to clear up but the house must still look neat and presentable too.
Only have items you use frequently out and the rest put away, this means that you have storage for storage purposes and it also helps with creating bulk storage. For instance, I usually buy a bulk of non-perishable foods or bulk household items (black bags, toothpaste, tea lights) and keep them away when they are needed. This also brings peace of mind that I’m prepared.
Organise Sections of the Home
Kitchen:
Keep it clean always
Get rid of mismatched containers, and loose-plastic lids (if possible) I like to work on bits moments at a time and I opted for clear glass containers from IKEA. These look great stored away from both in drawers, on shelves and in the fridge. (I do keep a few plastic ones to store food away in the freezer)
Seasonings; I like to separate everyday uses from occasional uses. I can’t think I need lamb seasoning all the time.
Under the sink; I have small containers to hold cleaning products and bulk items. I have my tea towels and cleaning cloths folded neatly.
In the freezer, all meats are kept in freezer bags laid flat to create more space
I like to keep my washing powder and fabric conditioner in jars to be aesthetically pleasing as well as easier to get to.
I cut recipes out of magazines after reading and then recycle
Living Space:
TV console: I chose a large cabinet that holds our family board games, game console accessories, DVDs + CDs and other miscellaneous items, which are all hidden away.
That for me is a great way to be clutter-free at home; purposeful storage.
Keep units to a minimum to not overcrowd your space, instead fill with plants and decor.
A great tip is to tidy away pieces laying around after the day, give your coffee table a little clean and fluff your cushions. Nothing beats coming in, in the morning and everything looking clutter-free. (My mum taught me that one and now you can have it for free)
Storage cupboards/sections:
Store anything you’d like, use clear boxes and vacuum bags here and be sure to label everything, I basically keep things that are not needed for the majority of the time
Keep household bulk items in an area easy to reach
My husband likes to keep all his DIY tools here, he also placed a great storage drawer for bits like nails, paintbrushes and so on.
We also added a rail at the top to keep all autumnal/winter coats
Let’s talk clothing:
Separate warm wear to cool wear, you can either fold away or place in vacuum bags to go into storage or under the bed. This frees space in your wardrobe and you can focus on your gorgeous items for that season
Store footwear in shoe organisers to keep away dust
I have kept all my children’s clothing with the exception of some, these are placed in boxes labelled from newborn all the way to 6-7 years. I bring out a box when needed and swap the clothes out.
And yes, all my hangers match.
Children hangers
Adult hangers + Coat hangers
Bedrooms + Bathrooms
I like to clean these spaces deeply once a week.
Put everything away once used, especially the bathroom as it can get easily cluttered.
Fold items away, move furniture to clean behind, and change bedsheets that are kept in their own storage (anywhere you like). Throw away/shred letters, magazines and the like (always cut away your confidential information to avoid fraudsters taking your letters out of the trash)
For the bathroom; use containers and jars to keep items tidy, keep your bulk items separate and closed off to be clutter-free. Keep towels and bathmats in one place
Children’s room: This gets cleared deeply once a month, again missing or broken are removed. Paper is also removed, some of those colours filled drawings need to go, I do keep really sweet ones that have mummy all over them though. I give all the toys a spray down, I love using ad Method as it’s less harmful than other products and smells amazing. Also safe around pets
When it comes to toys if you have other younger children or children to come then store these away however I would say give them away or sell them. The idea is to create a clutter-free space, even for the kiddies.
Grab fun and essential storage units to arrange toys and other bits needed, this will teach your children as they get older to put away and organise themselves - hopefully :)
There you have it, some great tips you can incorporate into everyday living to be well organised and clutter-free.
Stay on top of the mess, keep items to a minimum and have out what you need, be smart with storage and enjoy your home. Try to be brave and clear out what you do not need.
