5 Reasons Why I Choose Early Mornings

Hey beautiful, How has your day been?

I'm sure I'm not the only that has spent days a bit all over the place and running out of time to get things done or finding that at the end of the day I have nothing done and I feel slightly overwhelmed. I slowly noticed that using my mornings efficiently helped me be a better mother, wife and overall increase my self-care/love and have a productive day.

Wouldn't you love to have a more organised day starting straight from a good morning?

A Good Morning

Waking up earlier in the morning has been beneficial to me because;

  1. I get to breathe in and out and enjoy the peace God prepared for us.

As you know with a family it’s just go go go and before that happens I like sitting with a cup of tea or my first glass of water and listening to silence to calm me and set the mood. The best way to do this is to be intentional with your moment and thoughts. So, find a comfy space ideally out the bed, open curtains and stretch if you need to and no devices.

Spend your quiet time with your thoughts free to think about anything and to absorb your quietness and feel like you again.

  2. Next, It’s important for me to spend my mornings with Jesus, it really shapes my mind and mannerisms for the whole day.

Reading the word and listening to God can seriously move mountains. Set the mood and relax in His presence with some mellow worship music, I’d rather be a slow-to-anger mother than an inpatient one. I always like the feel of my bible and I follow bible studies or pick a new book in the bible to read, making notes and creating prayer points for the day or week. Having an early morning without the children helps me greatly in listening to what God is trying to say, I am able to journal and make some future plans.

(If my husband is up we will pray together/worship or he puts on some ol’ school types vinyl and we sway)

3.

I like to be prepared and I also use this time to prepare breakfast my children run in and we get talking.

Once prepared I can have their breakfasts ready and continue with our morning chats. I do a bit of tidying up or get bits ready for dinner that evening. I have a meal plan, so usually, I would take something out of the freezer or season something ahead of time.

I’ve seen how planning and routine help the day flow better and I don't have that worry as the day goes on.

4. Early mornings are a great time to get my workout on, if I am doing a workout that day I would set my workout clothes the night before so they are easier to grab in the morning making the least amount of noise. I would pop on a YouTube video or check my Pinterest for the latest exercises. Most of the time it's uninterrupted however little feet always find their way and end up doing the workouts together.

5. I like to check the agenda I made the night before and add to it if needed. I always make a to-do list in bed each night to keep up with what was not met that day, which gives me a better chance to get them done the next day. I then, if I can get myself together for the day, feeling and looking sweet lol

Early mornings are beneficial

Organised mornings and days work out the best and there is no better way for me than waking up before my whole family and having 'me time'.

Each morning can consist of different aspects and needs depending on how you feel, make it work for you. I've realised just how much waking early makes a difference in my life and my family’s life by being more relaxed, prepared and organised.

Plus, I don't feel overwhelmed or guilty that I didn't get what I needed to do in the day.
